A fact is a statement that can be proven true or false. An opinion is an expression of a person's feelings that cannot be proven. 

Here are photos of the Flood Mitigation Drain repair works at Bukit Padang which was completed sometime in May 2021.

On 2.7.2021, based on what DID had told Daily Express, the Daily Express reported that repair works on the repair completed in May were almost completed.

The photos on the Daily Express were misrepresentations of the actual condition. They were meant to deliberately mislead the public. Read more here.

Yesterday, 11.8.21, I tried to get over to the opposite bank of the drain but the undergrowth had grown too thick and tall making it impossible to get to a vantage point to take photos.

Here is a video of the drain wall, taken yesterday, that was reported on 2.7.21 as almost completed.

 

The repair works carried out, I believe, must be way above a million ringgit.

If a few concerned citizens, especially those living in and around Penampang write and complain to DID, Daily Express, Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Mohd Noor and Opposition leaders such as Datuk Shafie Apdal perhaps we can get the engineers and the politicians involved in the repairs accountable.

Should another amount be paid to the same politician and his contractors to repair the repaired drain?
