  This post was written on 12.11.2022 and archived.   There is a change in the local government and I think it is best that I stop working on the Vistana Heights problems until later. Here is a headline from the local newspaper yesterday. Sabah Bersatu collapses, GRS members to form new party. I have briefed the three other house owners who are active in this matter and they will follow up until I get back to my blog posting sometime in February or March 2023. YB Ginger Phoong has promised to visit the site this week and that will be my last activity for the year on this matter. One of the house owner's has met Mr. Saiman Angak who has promised to hold a meeting with the developer and the house owners.  LPPB has advised me that they are studying how to settle this matter amicably. So, let us give the politicians to settle down first. We will wait for DBKK and LPPB to study this matter and find an amicable solution.  Note on 22nd July 2025. GRS has performed mise...

 I wrote several emails to the mayor and not one was replied. Perhaps the ‘Perintah Am’ which stated that correspondences to government servants must be replied to within two weeks is outdated and not applicable anymore. Not one of my emails to DBKK, LPPB and the Mayor was ever replied.

   A summary of events to date. We can reach the top of a mountain via various routes. Some ways may be easier than others but will lead to the same destination. If there are 7 different ways to reach the top, we won’t use all 7 ways at once. We may try one way today and another, another day. Many of my friends think that I am too harsh or too direct with my approach to dealing with the Vistana Heights issues. For the information of new readers, I have taken more than 3 years to come to where I am currently at on the Vistana Heights issues.

Jabatan Kerja Raya (PWD) Wanting to leave no stones unturned, on 22.7.2022, I decided to telephone JKR. The person in charge of receiving complaints, Ms. Nelly Sakristi (Nellysa) was outstation. I finally managed to get Engineer Nellysa on 27.7.2022. She said she will check and revert. On 4.8.2022, George (the house owner of the opposite house) informed me that JKR officers had been to Vistana Heights to inspect. The following day, Nellysa telephoned me and said that the road ‘Puncak Vistana 1’, is not under the jurisdiction of JKR. She also informed me that she has discussed the matter with the Road and Transport Department Engineer Enc. Saiman Angak. She said that Enc. Saiman will contact me in about a week’s time.
