Jabatan Kerja Raya (PWD) Wanting to leave no stones unturned, on 22.7.2022, I decided to telephone JKR. The person in charge of receiving complaints, Ms. Nelly Sakristi (Nellysa) was outstation. I finally managed to get Engineer Nellysa on 27.7.2022. She said she will check and revert. On 4.8.2022, George (the house owner of the opposite house) informed me that JKR officers had been to Vistana Heights to inspect. The following day, Nellysa telephoned me and said that the road ‘Puncak Vistana 1’, is not under the jurisdiction of JKR. She also informed me that she has discussed the matter with the Road and Transport Department Engineer Enc. Saiman Angak. She said that Enc. Saiman will contact me in about a week’s time.

  Email to Institution of Engineers Malaysia (Sabah) Not to leave any stones unturned I decided to write to Institution of Engineers (Sabah). One of the items in their objective which you can read here is:  To promote honest practice, prevent malpractice and settle dispute points of practice and ethics; Below is my email to them. I have yet to receive a reply from them.

  On 26.8.2022, I decided to write to Zaidun Leeng Sdn. bhd . Their website says that supervision of construction is done by them. What supervision did Zaidun Leeng (Sabah) Sdn. Bhd. do before handing over the completed project to the client? Is handing over the project to the client the end of their responsibility?

  On 9.12.2021, the purchaser of the house opposite to my son’s house, George, met up with Mrs. Lee (Monica), the developer. He requested Monica to give ideas to him on how to reconstruct the driveway so that his cars can be driven onto the car porch. Monica instructed him to ask his contractor who should know what to do. 

  Email to and from C&S engineers – Zaidun Leeng (Sabah) Sdn. Bhd. (Jurutera Perunding Consulting Engineers). The following are emails to and from Zaidun Leeng (Sabah)Sdn. Bhd.

Bhd. I emailed the M&E engineers on 5.1.2021 and again a reminder on 12.1.2021. I did not receive a reply to my 2 emails. On 1.8.2022, more than 1 ½ years after my first email, I decided to email again as I needed clarification on water dripping from the eaves of the building. Only then did I receive a response from the M&E engineers.

    Prelude One of my sons' bought a semi-detached house at Taman Puncak Vistana Phase 1A, Iramanis, Jalan Bantayan, Kota kinabalu, Sabah. The cost of the house is more than a million ringgit. On 19.12.2020, I was handed keys to the house by the developer and was asked to acknowledge receipt. I was also handed a letter from the developer, addressed to my son, re computation of Liquidated Damages for late delivery. A copy of the Occupation Certificate was attached. On even date, 19.12.2020, I was also handed a notification from DBKK which stated that no renovation shall be carried out without any written approval from the local authorities. I signed the notification stating that renovation plans will be submitted to DBKK in the event we intend to carry out renovation works to the said property.
