Today’s (13.7.2023) Daily Express front page report carried a report by our former Chief Minister Tan Sri Harris Salleh. Commenting on a Daily Express report dated 12.7.23, he said that it was strange that in Kota Kinabalu City one can simply build a structure and then abandon it.     What came to my mind was the 2 abandoned structures at Vistana Heights. Nothing has progressed to the two buildings since occupancy certificates were issued for the rest of the project. These 2 detached houses were originally designed as semi-detached houses and redesigned to be detached houses when the land behind the houses collapsed. The two abandoned houses are an eye sore to an otherwise nice looking housing estate.  

  I complained to Sabah Surveyors Board about the fabrication of the as-built survey drawing on 15.12.2022.   On 28.6.2023, 6 months after my complaint, the Committee members of the Sabah Surveyors Board (Lembaga Jurukur Sabah) came for a site visit and took some survey points to determine the height difference between the road and the house platform.
