Daily Express deceived by Department of Drainage and Irrigation (DID) – 2.7.2021

Toady’s Daily Express Hotline carried the headline ‘P’pang monsoon drain repairs almost complete’.

It was accompanied by two photos which are a distortion of the actual situation. The first photo is showing the drain away from the soil which blocks more than 50% of the drain.

 


 

The second photo which was taken immediately after the repairs already shows the crack on the concrete at the top of the sheet piles.

 


The DID has hoodwinked the Daily Express and the public reading the Hotline articles.

Are architects liable for fabricated documents submitted to authorities

In 2020, many of my well-meaning friends told me that I have no course of action against the professionals involved in obtaining the Occupancy Certificate for Vistana Heights project with fabricated as-built survey plan. I believe all those involved, including DBKK senior officers, LPPB (Lembaga Pembangunan Perumahan Dan Bandar) and its GM Rosemary Ahping, Arkitek LYS, Lembaga Juruukur Sabah etc. will be answerable for how the Occupancy Certificate was issued. Hopefully, my complaint to SPRM (MACC), LJS, DBKK, Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia will be looked into.
