Sabah, politicians and lawyers (Part 2)
This is the continuation of LINK.

I do not know the full story about a lawyer blocking a "simple" meeting between house buyers and developer. I am surprised because in most cases buyers simply walk up to the developer's office and wave their fists. If this fails, they just stand around the office, blocking the roads and talk to reporters. It is the first time I heard of this incident. If you know the name of this lawyer (take photo) lodge a complaint to the SLS. In Sabah, yes, I would agree those who have money will tend to have an upper hand not only in law but in everything else in life. The problem with developer in Sabah is because the law to protect consumers is less. For example, in West Malaysia, they are proposing tougher laws but we are NOT part of this. LINK

Thank you for the link. Unfortunately, many of the laws in West Malaysia do not apply to Sabah.

I am going to test this out. My fight with the developer and authorities is on-going for over 3 years. I have now engaged a lawyer which is costly and wish this could have been resolved amicably. He will be sending out the demand letter soon as this matter may be time-barred after 2.10.2025.
Perhaps, others may wave their fists. I am not too keen on this method. I write posts to make the public aware of their rights.
Here are two posts that you may like to read: LINK LINK
I did not go to SLS...
The last two links are the letters from the lawyer.
