Vistana Heights – ordeals of house owners (4)

On 9.12.2021, the purchaser of the house opposite to my son’s house, George, met up with Mrs. Lee (Monica), the developer. He requested Monica to give ideas to him on how to reconstruct the driveway so that his cars can be driven onto the car porch. Monica instructed him to ask his contractor who should know what to do.

George then asked his contractor for ideas and they had suggested widening the driveway. George did this and was reprimanded by Monica saying that he should not widen the driveway.

Monica then telephoned and informed George that her architect told her to report the matter to DBKK.

By then George had already constructed the driveway.

Even after widening the driveway he found it difficult to drive the cars up the driveway. Attached, please find a video of his car attempting to drive up after rebuilding the driveway.

George then had to tear down the the top few inches of the reconstructed driveway and rebuild it with designs for a better grip. See the photo attached for the new driveway with design for better grip.

Even with this new driveway, with design for grips, the car can only be driven up at certain angles.

Monica complained to DBKK who then came to inspect the driveway.

Similarly, I had written to the developer for a solution to my son’s driveway which she has not replied.

I am not going to spend money on the driveway which is the responsibility of the developer and the professionals.

This appears to be a situation as in the saying between the devil and the deep blue sea.

Below is a photo of the first attempt in widening the driveway.

Below is a video of a car attempting to get up the driveway after the reconstruction.

Despite redoing the driveway with patterns (for better grip) there are times when the tyres of cars driven up the driveway spin and leave tyre marks on the driveway.

Cars can be driven up the driveway only at certain angles.

If cars are driven straight down from the car porch the bumper hits the road.
