PAM Sabah's 50th anniversary dinner talk
Here are extracts from a press report.
Read my post yesterday and compare it with the report.
Speaking at PAM Sabah’s 50th anniversary gala dinner on Friday, chairman Ar Daniel Koh Chung Hou described the golden jubilee as a significant milestone in their collective journey as architects, designers, planners and stewards of the built environment in Sabah. LINK
“Our aim is to reinforce PAM as a proactive platform not only for professional development but also for meaningful engagement with local authorities, educational institutions, and our members,” Daniel said.
“We want to ensure our members are supported, our profession is visible, and our voice is heard in shaping Sabah’s future. To realise this, we have set several key goals for the year,” he added.
To support its members, PAM Sabah is also addressing professional challenges such as regulatory issues, the adoption of emerging technologies, and the promotion of sustainable practices.
“At the heart of all our efforts is collaboration. We believe that, with the support of our members, professional bodies, and authorities, we can elevate the practice of architecture in Sabah to greater heights,” Daniel said.
Kota Kinabalu Mayor Dato Sri Dr Sabin Samitah, who officiated the event, commended PAM Sabah for five decades of dedicated service, calling it a golden testament to the institute’s enduring impact on the state’s architectural landscape.
Sabin highlighted the longstanding collaboration between PAM Sabah and Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK), describing it as a cornerstone in shaping the city’s growth, particularly in the formulation of master plans and the review of development proposals.
