CORRUPTION

Anwar warned that no one will be spared from prosecution for corruption regardless of their status.’

What is the best way to fight corruption?

i.                     expose corrupt activities and risks.

ii.                   keep the public sector honest, transparent and accountable.

iii.                 stop dishonest practices.

iv.                 ensure public sector employees act in the public interest.

Let us start with the Sabah Surveyor Board (Lembaga Jurukur Sabah). I complained to them in person and by submitting all the documents they required on 15.12.2022.

Read the correspondences between them and me. LINK

Do I have to write to the Prime Minister about such matters when he has an enormous task ahead of him of reducing the country's high national debt.

Who are the professionals and public servants the Sabah Surveyor Board is protecting?

i.                     The engineers who wrote to the developer and said ‘Pending for surveyor to amend the as-built drawings for the relevant local authorities before they submit for the application of inspection & OC.’

ii.                   The local authorities, DBKK (The Kota Kinabalu City Hall) who approved the Amended Development Plan despite the as-built survey not reconciling with the on-site situation?

iii.                 The architect who submitted the as-built survey for approval of the Occupancy Certificate when he had not obtained permission from the buyers for amendments to the project as required by the Housing Act?

iv.                 Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) who wrote and said that they cannot comment on my complaint to them because there is a court case between the buyers and the developer which has nothing to do with construction defects?

I can go down the above list but for now the above should suffice. I am still awaiting a reply from the Sabah Surveyor Board, Board of Engineers Malaysia and Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia before escalating this matter.

I believe, many of my fellow Malaysians will say this is washing dirty linen in public especially when many of my blog post readers are from our neighbouring country, but I have walked this path before when I complained about the Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host who had secret bank accounts to misappropriate money that should have gone for charity.

Why have the professionals and public servants let a sesame seed to grow into a water melon?

Next – let us examine what the Board of Engineers of Malaysia has done with my complaint of the engineer.
