Silat mata - illusion
I saw a bird but I'm told it is a rabbit

On June 11, 2025, I attended a meeting with DBKK, joined by the architects (father and son), the developer (mother and daughter), the engineer, several DBKK officers, and two representatives from the Integrity Department following my complaint.
During the meeting, figures were written on a whiteboard, accompanied by a screen presentation showcasing an unfamiliar as-built survey of unit S9. The figures displayed are noted below.
Where did the figure 31.05m (101.87 feet) originate? I disputed this figure, as it didn’t align with my recollection of the as-built survey plan I had reviewed multiple times over the years.
The director highlighted a comparison between the figure in black, 32.38m, and the figure in blue, 31.05m. The difference (32.38m – 31.05m) equals 1.33m, or 4.38 feet. He claimed the as-built survey plan submitted to DBKK was not fabricated. It was showing what was on site.
However, the critical question is: where in the as-built survey submitted to DBKK does the figure 31.05m appear? The as-built survey plan provided by DBKK matches the one from Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia.
I showed the as-built survey I was given by Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia which was the same as that given to me by DBKK. Mr. Rayner Ricky Sedomon of DBKK confirmed it was the same that he had in his hand. See photo below.

Over the next few days, we will examine other lots to identify additional discrepancies.
Note: "Silat mata" is a Malay term meaning "false eye" or "magic eye," referring to the art of illusion or sleight of hand, akin to magic or conjuring. It is used in Malaysian and Indonesian contexts and may also be called "sunglap" or "sulap" in certain contexts, as per Wikipedia.
Johan Cruyff on the limits of logic:
“What I know for certain is that the conclusions I would draw from experience are different from the ones based only on figures. Because if Lionel Messi scores three times out of every ten attempts, he might be criticized by someone who sees only the statistics for being just 30 per cent effective. I’d say: just copy him and see if you can get up to that level. It’s practically impossible.”
