Merdeka in Song, Terkandas in Practice
We sing with pride: “Dari Perlis sampai lah ke Sabah kita sudah MERDEKA…” Yet in reality, our governance under the present leadership is terkandas — stranded in silence, stuck in inefficiency, and failing the very people it claims to serve.
My Experience with SK Kuchai, Puchong
In 2022, I wrote three emails to SK Kuchai, Puchong.
In June 2026, I sent two more emails to the new Headmaster.
No response.
When I sent someone to deliver a letter, the school refused to accept it, claiming the Headmaster was not in.
Escalation to the Selangor Education Director
On 6 June 2026, I emailed the Selangor Education Director.
On 8 June 2026, I followed up with a registered letter.
On 19 June 2026, I emailed again.
Later, I telephoned Puan Aliah at the Director’s office. She informed me the matter had been forwarded to the Integrity Department.
I requested a written acknowledgment by email. To this day, none has been received.
A Pattern of Silence
This is not new. In Sabah, I faced the same silence for three years. Emails ignored, letters refused, accountability avoided.
When public officers fail to respond within the 15 working days required by Piagam Pelanggan and PKPA, they are not just being inefficient — they are breaching their own service charter. This silence is not neutral; it is misconduct.
Integrity Terkandas
From Perlis to Sabah, and now Selangor, the promise of integrity has terkandas.
This is not the Malaysia envisioned in our patriotic songs. A nation cannot claim Merdeka while its governance is terkandas in silence and neglect.
Enough of being stranded in bureaucratic silence. Therefore, we need change.
Let us change for a new party, Bersama, during the coming election in Johore and Negri Sembilan. Only by demanding accountability at the ballot box can we break free from this culture of avoidance.
