  Here are two of several emails attached to my email posted yesterday. These were addressed to the mayor and copied to JPA chairman Tan Sri Wan Ahmad Dahlan bin Haji Abdul Aziz.   My wife and I were looking forward to the meeting at 2.30 pm when I received an email at 10.43 am and a telephone call a few minutes later saying the meeting scheduled for 2.30 pm has been postponed. I was, to put it mildly, disappointed. Here is the email from KKTP and my reply.

                           My meeting was scheduled for 2.30 pm on 5.8.2025. I sent off the following email to the mayor at 5am on the same day. This was so he is informed. The delay of over two and a half years in addressing this matter raises serious concerns about the efficiency of our statutory bodies and their ability to drive progress in Malaysia .

  I was thrilled to receive the email from the Ministry of Local Government and Housing (KKTP) and decided to write to the integrity department (BIGoNS). When Rhetoric Meets Reality in a Local Housing Nightmare In a recent LinkedIn post (Copied below for your convenience) that has sparked thoughtful debate among Sabahans , veteran lawyer Ronny Cham , Founder and Senior Partner of Ronny Cham & Co (established in 1984), passionately critiques the slogan "Sabah for Sabahan" as a "dangerous illusion." Drawing from his decades of experience in Kota Kinabalu, Cham argues that true progress for Sabah lies not in isolation from the Federal Government but in "intelligent partnership, accountability, and integrity in leadership." He warns against divisive rhetoric that severs the "lifeline" of federal support for defense, infrastructure, education, and health—essentials that Sabah lacks the capacity to fully provide on its own. Disclaimer: To be clear, I'm not here to debate MA63. This post simply contrasts what Cham claims with his actual actions.

I immediately requested for permission for my wife to attend the meeting together with me and it was accepted.

My emails to higher authorities have not gone to waste. There has been no response but action has been taken. Here is an extract from the Borneo post article dated 13.10.2025.
